IllustraVis09!
interdisciplinary gathering on illustrative visualization!


On June 3 & 4, 2009, about 60 participants from Norway and abroad met at the IllustraVis09 conference in Bergen, Norway, to discuss illustrative visualization and its applications.  The program contained contributions from twelve invited speakers from the international visualization research community, professional medical and geological illustrators, and experts from medical, oil&gas, and earth science field from the Bergen area.

Strong Showing at VisWeek 2008!!

   

We are very glad to report that the Bergen VisGroup impressed with a really strong showing at this year's VisWeek event in Columbus, Ohio, i.e., the ''Olympus'' of visualization research.  Four(4!) papers, all published in the top-journal IEEE TVCG, have been presented.  Presentations have been given by D. Patel (2 talks!), J. Kehrer, I. Viola, and H. Hauser

NorVis07 - gathering to discuss visualization & its applications!


On May 21st & 22nd, 2007, about 60 participants from Bergen, Norway, and from abroad met in Bergen, Norway, to discuss visualization and its applications. Ten invited talks of selected visualization researchers (six from the international visualization community) as well as of top domain specialists (four from selected local fields of potential application of visualization) formed an interesting program together with a lot of stimulating discussion.
